Ever since we decided not to find out early if we’re having a boy or a girl, everyone has weighed in with their thoughts on the topic and more recently with their boy/girl hunches. I think it’s the funnest game ever, and I think A is enjoying it, too (even though she initially protested the letting-it-be-a-surprise idea). But all this speculation has got us wondering and admittedly a bit interested, so we decided to take measures into our own hands – A. just took the baby quiz to beat all baby quizzes (thanks to Information Sciences expert Erin for finding the meta-baby quiz), and the results are in!
After answering 22 of the 24 most ridiculous questions (two did not apply and we were instructed to leave them blank) and some crazy internet number crunching…drum roll please…
You have a 23% chance of having a boy.
And you have a 76% chance of having a girl.
———————————————
And Here’s Why…
- You are carrying the extra weight around the hips and bottom, so it’s a girl.
- The hair on your legs is not growing any faster during your preganacy, so it’s a girl.
- Boys are carried low. You are going to have a boy.
- Sleeping in a bed with your pillow to the south indicates that you will be having a girl.
- Your feet are not colder than they were before pregnancy. You are having a girl.
- You refuse to eat the heel of a loaf of bread. You are having a girl.
- The maternal grandmother has gray hair, so a boy will be born.
- You had morning sickness early in pregnancy, so you are expecting a girl.
- You are looking particularly good during pregnancy. Therefore, it must be a boy, because girls steal their mother’s looks.
- Your chest development has been quite dramatic during pregnancy. You should expect a girl.
- Since the sum of the mother’s age at conception and the number of the month of conception is an odd number, it will be a girl.
- A needle on a thread held over your belly moves in circles, so you will have a boy.
- Your urine is a dull yellow color, so you will have a girl.
- You are craving sweets, which means that it is a girl.
- Your nose hasn’t changed during pregnancy, which indicates a girl.
- You have been craving fruits, so it is a girl.
- Your baby’s heart rate is 140 or more beats per minute, so it’s a girl.
- You are not having headaches, so it’s a girl.
- Your belly looks like a basketball, so it’s a boy.
- You show them the palm of your hand, so it’s a girl.
- You use the body of the mug, so it’s a girl.
So, if you haven’t given us your guess yet, now’s your chance.
wait…you use the body of the mug? what? i would LOVE to hear the explanation behind that one!
Kate G and I have emphatically agreed that we need more posts!!! <3
